MELANIE FLORES
Assistant Project Manager / GIS Analyst
I work across infrastructure projects that include transportation safety, pedestrian and bicycle planning, and large-scale energy and water systems. Using GIS, I provide mapping and data analysis to support safe, accessible, and resilient infrastructure solutions across Maryland and Washington, D.C.
With over five years of experience, I contribute to initiatives such as the DC Water lead pipe replacement program, Baltimore City’s electric transmission projects, and Prince George’s County Vision Zero efforts. I develop data-driven visualizations, maps, and reports to enhance stakeholder engagement and inform decision-making.
As a key member of Assedo’s GIS team, I help our team seek new opportunities to infuse innovation into our work. I also deliver on digital platforms, such as website updates, Story Maps, and Hub Sites, to present user-friendly information.
I hold an MS in Urban and Regional Planning, a BS in International Affairs, and a BA in Literature from Florida State University.
