KRISTINA BIGBY, PMP

Director of Marketing & Community Engagement

As the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement at Assedo Consulting, I oversee complex projects and lead strategic communications, marketing initiatives, and partnership building across planning, environmental, transportation, and energy projects. I specialize in helping clients communicate nuanced ideas that resonate with diverse audiences, strengthen understanding, and drive impactful participation.

With nearly a decade at Assedo, I manage multidisciplinary projects and lead high-profile and visible initiatives such as the award-winning Reimagine Middle Branch Master Plan, Prince George’s County’s Clean Water Partnership, and Prince George’s County Transit Transformation. My work spans parks, open space, environmental sustainability, historic preservation, and large-scale planning efforts. On many projects, I manage branding, public engagement, meeting facilitation, and social media development. Additionally, I lead Assedo’s marketing strategy and external communications, building firm visibility, communicating our skillsets, and ensuring our impact reaches broad audiences across various platforms.

Why Assedo? I am passionate about connecting people to places through innovative storytelling and enjoy the diversity and rich histories of projects and communities I work with. I take pride in ensuring both client goals and community voices are clearly heard and represented.

I earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and an MA in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
