KRISTINA BIGBY

Position: Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities: I am a Senior Project Manager at Assedo Consulting, leading outreach and public engagement on planning, environmental, transportation, and utility projects. I have worked on the award-winning Reimagine Middle Branch Plan, the first in the nation, Prince George’s County Clean Water Partnership stormwater management program, and several BGE electric reliability projects. I am often the primary point of contact with clients, delivering effective public outreach, meeting facilitation, and creative engagement strategies.  A strategic communications leader, I also use my expertise in social media content development to provide engaging and practical digital marketing strategies helping clients get noticed and draw the attention of their target audience.

Why Assedo? Stories are my superpower; at Assedo, I help share someone’s story each day.

I feel strongly that part of our job as consultants is to help explain a client’s story in an exciting and engaging way. As consultants, we’re often asked to communicate our client’s stories to different communities and, equally important, to share stakeholders' wishes with our clients.  I enjoy the diversity of projects I work on, learning the history of people and places.

Assedo’s work is essential because as consultants we provide clients with insight, expertise, and resources to develop effective engagement strategies. If you’re looking to connect with communities, Assedo delivers.

Background: Master of Journalism, University of Maryland – 2003, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Virginia – 1999.
