Position: Planner/Outreach Specialist III

Responsibilities: As a planner and outreach specialist with Assedo, I help create and manage client/customer communications, provide GIS mapping assistance and support on a variety of projects, and assist with the outreach and engagement on a variety of projects.

Why Assedo? I loved that Assedo was a Black-owned business. Historically, planning processes have been inequitable, leaving many POC-communities vulnerable. Being a part of a Black planning and engagement firm allows me to give insight and perspectives to an otherwise homogenous field. 

Background: I have my Master’s in Landscape Architecture from SUNY-ESF. I got my BA from HWS in Geneva, NY where I studied environmental studies with a double minor in psychology and sustainable community development.
